Alycia's Hero: Linda
My mother, Linda, has been an anchor for me during my life. After my dad left our family, Mom, my little sister and myself, she was amazing! She was both Mother and Father to us. She has always led by example. I can remember coming in for breakfast to find her doing her morning Bible study before she left for work. While I was in college, I wandered away from the Lord. My mom was ever faithfully praying me back into the fold. Her prayers were answered!
Now, as a mom of my own three girls, I see how much she sacrificed to do so much for us. She has been blessed with 7 grandchildren, 4 of whom were adopted from China and Korea. She adores her grandchildren. Each of them has a special place in her heart.
My oldest daughter is currently living with my mom, while attending college. Last year, this daughter almost died from anorexia. Mom has gone above and beyond the call of duty helping get this child back on track. If it weren't for Mom, I don't know what we would have done.
Mom is truly one to be honored.
