Passing on the Gift

We hear from homeschooling families in need throughout the year. Sometimes the family is serving as missionaries and find that money is tight. Other families may have experienced a trial of life such as a natural disaster which has jeopardized their homeschooling efforts. In this season of remembering God's greatest gift to us, we want to share two ways you can help families who are in need.

The Homeschool Foundation
Started in 1994 by HSLDA, The Homeschool Foundation (HSF) is a non-profit organization with the purpose of helping families continue to home educate when they find themselves in need. From their "Widows Fund" and "Compassion Fund" to their resources for single parents, the HSF gives to families in a variety of ways. HSF relies on the support of organizations and individuals to be able to help these families. If you would like to join them in serving those in need, you can learn more details here.

Apologia Mission
Most missionaries rely on support from churches, organizations, and individuals. This support provides for supplies, equipment, Bibles, and daily living expenses so that the family can focus on the people and ministry where they are located. For some missionaries, the support doesn't cover everything. Apologia Mission provides additional support to homeschooling missionaries by providing much needed curriculum, encouraging conferences, or help with travel or other specific expenses. If you would like to help a homeschooling missionary family get resources to effectively homeschool in the field, please mail a donation to:

It is such an honor to celebrate Christmas this way and to follow God's example of showing love. "For God so loved the world that He gave…" If you don't give through one of the above opportunities, we hope you find the opportunity to give to some other worthy cause during this holiday season.
